The pandemic has given our team at Barbell Foods a chance to think a little more about the big picture once again. I hope you've found that it has given you the chance to do the same.
Over the last few months we've focused on learning more about the impact of our meat and bringing a wider range of biltong and meat snacks to you.
WHAT IS NEW?
PROVENIR - ON-FARM BEEF PROCESSING
As Australia's first on-farm beef processor, Provenir is a startup with an unrelenting focus on animal welfare and connecting consumers with their farmer.
Instead of the animal being transported to the abattoir; the abattoir comes to the farm. Eliminating unnecessary stress on livestock associated with live transport to the processors, Provenir's on-farm processing allows cattle to remain in an environment they are familiar with prior to slaughter.
We have just begun sourcing some of our beef from regenerative, organic farmers who have chosen to work with Provenir to make our carnivore biltong.
